We never take that lightly. Miles For Smiles exists because animals deserve someone who will kneel down to their level, learn their name, notice when they are anxious, and adjust the whole trip around what they need.
That means patience with the cat who hides in the corner. Extra warmth for the puppy who is too small to regulate her own temperature. A longer walk for the senior dog whose hips ache after a few hours. Photos sent to a worried mom at midnight because she cannot sleep until she sees her boy is okay.
